There's this moment near the beginning of Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker where an NPC says "Oh [character name], happy birthday!" which I've been using for years now for several friends' birthdays.
Yeah, this is extremely annoying. The only good solution I’ve found is watching in a browser instead of the app and tinkering with the browser’s settings. Specifics probably vary but i suspect a search will lead you to someone on Reddit who has a more useful set of instructions.
I miss TV show seasons happening 1) in the fall 2) continuing in the spring and/or starting anew in the spring and that was it. I had the summer to catch up on stuff or go outside. Now stuff drops all over the place, it’s chaos and I don’t know what I’m doing anymore (watching Triple D on Max mostly)
